About
Orthopedics and Traumatology Clinic is one of the leading institutions in this field in the country. This reputation is obtained by reconstructive surgeries and extension of extremities based on their original scientific results. In this respect, medical doctors from the clinic, under the direction of professor Mitković, have participated in 12 research projects. These projects resulted in 43 inventions registered in the country, 6 of which have been registered abroad. The clinic has established a school of external and internal fixation, which traditionally organizes educational courses. Its doctors have also published 13 course books and 700 scientific papers. For its exceptional work, the clinic has been rewarded many times.
Orthopedics and Traumatology Clinic is a highly specialized tertiary health institution which treats the patients with osteoarticular trauma and deals with diagnosis and treatment of orthopedic disorders. Medical doctors from the clinic constantly update their knowledge and introduce new diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, such as:
- Minimally invasive method for the correction of angular and complex deformities with extension of extremities with the use of Mitković fixators
- Surgical treatment of complex pelvic fractures, with the application of external/internal fixation
- Closed reduction of a fractured bone
- Bones transportation
- External fracture fixation with Mitković fixators and intramedullary peg
- Shoulder arthroscopy
- Arthroscopic reconstruction of the ligaments, menisci and other knee structures
